Weapon XI, also known as Deadpool, is a failed super-soldier experiment in the Marvel Comics universe. He is a genetically engineered mutant created by Dr. Dale Rice as part of the Weapon X program's effort to eliminate mutants deemed threats.
He wasn't actually Deadpool until he was injected with DNA from Deadpool as a form of last resort to save his life. Weapon XI possesses a composite mutant DNA structure, incorporating abilities derived from various mutants. He's a Frankenstein's monster.
His primary ability is mimicking the powers of other mutants. This gives him access to a diverse range of offensive and defensive capabilities. He also had adamantium blades installed in his arms and the ability to teleport.
He faces Wolverine and Deadpool, and is eventually killed.
